Santa vs. the Easter Bunny

Emily has decided that she doesn't need to take naps anymore. Since Friday she has perfected her back-to-belly roll, and immediately stands up anytime she is put down for a nap. As you can imagine, this creates one very cranky little girl.

This morning Connie fished out Emily's winter gear, and took her outside to do some garden work during what normally would have been nap time. It worked! Emily was entertained while Connie cut down the corn.

Emily was in such a good mood that Connie took her on a bonus trip to the park. At zero degrees and windy, the park was empty, which set up a great photo session. All this fun must have tired Emily out, because she did lay down for an afternoon nap without standing up! Whoo hoo!
