Wee Turtle is a Big Cousin

Blair and Christie became parents yesterday! Unfortunately, it was a little more arduous of a process than my labour. Labour started around 2:30 am on Saturday, and Elijah was born Sunday morning around 12:15 am. We were thrilled to get the call in the middle of the night! Emily was able to meet her cousin on Sunday afternoon. He seems so tiny next to her, but he has large hands and feet.

Other news to report: We will be traveling to Newfoundland for a vacation in June. The Tourism Newfoundland & Labrador TV commercials were too good to resist. Emily has decided that she doesn't like napping. After being awake for four hours this morning, I packed up my screaming baby into her snugli carrier and went for a sleep-inducing 10 minute walk. My foot is getting stronger by the day. I was able to do a limp-free run when I found out that Blair and Christie were heading to the hospital on Saturday. Emily likes to play a game with Greg where she head butts him while trying to bite his nose. She gets her little butt going as she pushes forward.
