Emily is Five Months!

Slowly, but surely, our baby Emmy is growing up. Her stats (measured today) are 25" and 12 lbs. 8 oz.  Today marks five months that she has been with us. It is amazing how she has nestled into our lives; we can't imagine life without her! Emily has grown into a very alert girl who doesn't like being left alone in a room. She is pretty good at grabbing things, but she still isn't great at finding her mouth with the objects in her hands. Her thumbs and fingers have an amazing way of getting in there, though!

Emily still loves to stand; she will stand forever if she has someone's finger to hold onto. (That's hold onto, not pull. Just have to clarify for the Litz side of the family!) We recently purchased a jolly jumper, which she absolutely loves. It is her cheapest (thank you usedregina) and favourite toy.

Although she still can't roll, one attempt at rolling from back to belly has been made. She can roll from tummy to back, but that just may be a result of getting tired. Other party tricks? She has started blowing spit bubbles. I have tried to get it on video, but she just smiles at me!
