Baby Genius

Well, okay. So that may be embellishing it a little. However, Emily did something that was cute enough to stop Greg at the door this morning. (A little background detail - Connie has been trying to teach Emily to nod her head, but she only shakes it in response.) Right before walking out the door Greg asked Emily if she wanted him to stay home. She NODDED her head, and then said "ya." It was amazing timing for her first nod.

Another thing she has started doing over the last week is leaning sideways to get a better view of things. A couple days ago Connie was feeding her lunch and used a coffee mug as a bowl. Emily kept leaning sideways in her high chair until Connie turned the mug. Seems that Emily was trying to look at the rooster on the mug, and it was facing the wrong direction.

One thing that is becoming clear is that we have a little girl living with us. The baby seems to be gone.
