Our little girl is growing! Although she is small by most people's standards, she seems to be growing too quickly for us. Emily was weighed at her doctor's appointment on Monday, and came in at a whopping 11 lbs. 3 oz. She is happy and healthy, and putting smiles on our faces every day.
Emily hasn't developed any new skills; she seems to be getting better at everything that she is able to do. One thing that is new is that her hair is long enough for pigtails. However, putting them in is a struggle and taking them out is even more difficult. Poor Daddy needs practice - there were a few tears when he tried to tighten one tail!
I got my cast off a week ago and discovered a wasteland of dead skin and leg hair. The ensuing bath felt great! It looked like I was making a flour-water paste when I washed my leg. Have a peek at the difference between the two thigh muscles. One is absolutely ripped. Even worse is the difference between the two calves. Craziness! Physio started on Tuesday and will continue for the next month at one day per week.
When you watch the slideshow, you will also see that Emily is really good at standing with minimal support from Greg or I. Also, pay attention to the back of our hair. She definitely has a mullet!
And for your viewing pleasure, here is a quick video of Emily's favourite bad habit. Yes, she is almost four months old and she has a bad habit!
